Experience and Organizational Capacity
SABR Foundation Canada benefits from the diverse expertise and extensive experience of its leadership team, advisors, and collaborators, whose professional backgrounds encompass community development, education, research, media and strategic communications, social innovation, leadership development, policy engagement, and organizational capacity building.
Collectively, members of SABR's leadership network bring more than 15 years of experience working across Canada, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other international contexts. This experience has been gained through collaboration with educational institutions, community-based organizations, public agencies, research centers, and international development partners.
Members of the leadership team have contributed to the design, implementation, management, research, monitoring, and evaluation of initiatives supported by organizations such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), United Nations agencies, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Peace Direct, the Everyday Peace Indicators (EPI) research, and programs supported by the European Union (EU).
This collective experience strengthens SABR Foundation Canada's ability to develop evidence-informed programs, build strategic partnerships, mobilize knowledge, and implement community-centered initiatives that empower individuals, foster inclusion, and contribute to sustainable social impact.
